Imota APC Unites For Hon. AMA’s Return To Lagos Assembly

Stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) during the week united behind the incumbent representative of Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) to return for another term of his representation.

‎The council which is one of the three within the constituency delivered massive votes for the lawmaker in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election to deliver the second term ticket to him.

‎​in a statement by the Media & Public Engagement Unit of Imota LCDA, the council said that primary election in Imota was anchored by the executive and political leadership in the council led by the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele.

‎The council boss’ active participation and logistical coordination ensured a seamless process for the teeming party members eager to cast their votes for AMA.

‎Also adding his political weight to the exercise was the former executive chairman of the council, Hon. Wasiu Kunle Agoro, whose presence and active alignment underscored a seamless continuity of institutional support within the community.

‎”​The executive arm demonstrated total harmony as the Vice Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. (Princess) Abisoye Omowunmi Jimoh, and the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Muhammed Fagbesan joined the forefront of the mobilisation.

‎”Their strategic coordination ensured that all administrative structures, women groups, and youth wings were fully represented and engaged throughout the voting process,” the statement added.

‎It further stated that:

‎”The scale of institutional backing for Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s re-election was also evident in the heavy presence of the council’s administrative structure. Council Supervisors, Special Advisers, and Ward leaders worked hand-in-hand with party executives to maintain order and ensure the guidelines set by the APC state secretariat were strictly adhered to.”

‎According to the council, AMA’s popularity and acceptance reflected in the massive votes delivered by the APC members in Imota LCDA to earn the lawmaker the party’s ticket in the 2027 General Elections.

‎”The level of grassroots adoration for AMA was made clear as the official results from the voting centres were declared. The numbers revealed a near-total consensus across the local wards, leaving virtually no room for the opposition.

‎”In Ward B1: Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) polled a staggering 4,076 votes, while his contender, Hon. Matti Olakunle secured just 4 votes.

‎​”In Ward B2: The momentum surged even higher as AMA swept the polls with 4,874 votes, while Hon. Matti Olakunle managed to secure only 2 votes.”

‎Speaking on the outcome, stakeholders noted that the massive support is a direct reflection of AMA’s impactful stewardship, accessibility, and legislative responsiveness in the State House of Assembly over the current term.
